Pedals are just pedals right? I used to just put any old pedals on my bike; I really was not that choosy. I guess I used to think this because I had never used a good set of pedals, just the clunky, cheap, thick pedals with crappy pins that I always bought. Well early this year I dropped by Straitline HQ to see how they were doing and walked out with a new set of blingy Lenosky Signature pedals. I have been bashing these for almost a year now and thought I would let everyone else know how they have been holding up.

Quick Review: Honey Stinger - Stinger Waffle

Quick Review: CLIF Shot Bloks (Mountain Berry)
Santa was good to me this year and gave me a few packs of CLIF Shot Bloks in my stocking (among many other great things). These are probably my 2nd favourite Energy Chew/Blok/gummy thingy so far. I would like to try the Black Cherry next as it has the caffeine kick in it that I love so much, and brewyet on Reddit says it's the best flavour...so gotta look for those next time I am in the shop.
As for energy, I really can't say any of the chews so far have really made me feel any different, but I have not bonked or felt a lack of energy after eating any of them...and I gotta say they are yummmmy, way better than an energy bar...at least for the shorter few hours rides I have been on lately.
Any recommendations on what to try next?

Quick Review: Honey Stinger Organic Energy Chews (Lime-Ade)
Not much more that I can say about these that I did not say in my first quick review....other than these are my favourite flavour yet, really tasty and I love that these are caffeinated, a little extra buzz for the way down.
I have a few other flavours of energy chews to try and the Clif Shot Bloks are up next...so far these have been some tasty tests...it's hard work, but someone's gotta do it.

SG Review: Mountain Bike Vancouver Island Map Book
We are very lucky in BC, you can pull into just about any town and find some dirt to roll around in. The issue is, if you are new to town or just visiting it can sometimes be hard to find the trails that we cherish so much. Most of the time you have to either hook up with a local, get the local shop to give you general directions or just go out and explore and hope you find the good stuff. Well, not if you are heading to Vancouver Island - just pick up a copy of the Mount Bike Vancouver Island map book and hit the trails.

Quick Review: Honey Stinger Organic Energy Chews (Fruit Smoothie)
I liked them...a little sweet, but they were a tasty treat at the top of the hill. I tried the Fruit Smoothie version and am going to grab the naturally caffeinated limeade flavour for that extra kick next time.
As I said I did find them to be a bit sweet (and I love sweets) but the consistency was good and I did not have any energy problems on the way down...so they seemed to do their job. They cost me just over two bucks plus taxes, a bit more than a bar...but I would rather eat these than choke down a dry bar. The good news is that they are Gluten and Dairy free...gotta love that...now if we can get it nut free as well all my friends will be able to eat them. [Edit, they ARE nut free, packaged in a nut free factory...Awesome!] . Check out their site for more information.

Chromag OSX Fubar Review - Exclusive SG Content!
I have been riding these Chromag bars for a few months now, I came from Easton EA70's that were a few years old so it was past time to put new bars on the bike. I originally ordered the lighter and not quite as wide OS bars, but they were out and instead sent these sexy smoky chrome OSX bars.
