Kali Amara Cam Helmet - Preview

While I was at Jump Ship I stopped by the Kali Protectives booth and loved the look of the helmets and gear. After a few weeks they sent me an Amara Cam helmet to review. It was a happy day when this helmet arrived as my trusty old Giro Xen was a little worse for wear and smelled like a wet dog threw up in it... suffice to say none of my riding buddies were sad to see it go.

Stella needs to be safe too!

Product Preview - N-Gear Jump Stop

As most of your know, I have been running a 1x10 system on my bike for a while now with mostly no issues. But, once in a while the chain would jump off the front ring, mostly on the rougher descents - it's not a huge issue but one that I would rather not have to deal with - the safer the better. There's nothing like flying down a hill and then have a bit of an uphill and go to smash your pedals to have no resistance...that is a recipe for pain.

SG Preview: EVOC Freeride Trail 20L

Evoc was kind enough to send Lorien at Sooke Mountain Cycle a few sample packs to test out and being the awesome guy that he is, he lent a Freeride Trail 20 ltr to me to test out and review here on Singletrack Geek.

I have been interested in these packs since I first heard about them, the real interesting bit for me was the back protection system. Anyone that has been reading my blog for a while or has ridden with me knows...I have a bit of a track record when it comes to injuring myself, so if a pack can help give me piece of mind out on the trail...and actually save my bacon if I ever need it...well this is something I am interested in.

Vibram 5 Fingers Preview

Let me start this by saying...yes...they are funny looking and I still chuckle when I look down, but if you can get past the look of them they are really comfortable.

I just picked these up last week so this is just a preview of the shoes, after I put them through their paces more I will write a more detailed review of them and my experiences going from someone who thought they were stupid...to someone who wears them every day.
