SG Long Term Review: EVOC FR Trail 20L

I have been using the EVOC Freeride Trail pack for just over 7 months now; I have taken it on everything from long XC rides to lift assisted riding at Mt. Washington and Whistler. I have ridden with it in all conditions, gotten it wet and muddy the last few months,  covered it in dust and dirt of late summer, and everything in between. Not only has it served on my sweaty back on rides but it has also carried laptops (I put two in it a few times, full sized Lenovo laptops, no netbooks here) and lunch to and from work during the week. It's gone on hikes, road trips and to the beach. I have used and abused this pack, filled it with tools, extra clothes and put it away wet, only to pick it up and do it again when the call comes to go out and explore.

SG Preview: EVOC Freeride Trail 20L

Evoc was kind enough to send Lorien at Sooke Mountain Cycle a few sample packs to test out and being the awesome guy that he is, he lent a Freeride Trail 20 ltr to me to test out and review here on Singletrack Geek.

I have been interested in these packs since I first heard about them, the real interesting bit for me was the back protection system. Anyone that has been reading my blog for a while or has ridden with me knows...I have a bit of a track record when it comes to injuring myself, so if a pack can help give me piece of mind out on the trail...and actually save my bacon if I ever need it...well this is something I am interested in.
